Curling Alberta is working to provide proactive support to our members in the event that they need to address any future spread of COVID-19 within their facilities.
This webinar will prepare club managers, or others who might represent their club on camera, to communicate effectively with the media and the public in the event that this situation arises. We will start with an overview of what newsrooms are looking for, and then cover the specifics of how to work with media and give interviews, including the process of accepting an interview request, how to frame your story, how to deliver your message, how to answer difficult questions, and more. A messaging guide will be provided to help participants get their key points across and navigate interviews with confidence. Participants should leave this session with the knowledge and skills to prepare for an interview and then do the interview in a way that supports their club’s success.
