Given the uncertainty brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Curling Alberta has worked hard to develop a set of Competition Contingency Policies that address a range of potential scenarios. These Competition Contingency Policies provide general information around the status of all Curling Alberta sanctioned events, along with specific information related to pre-qualifying berths in those categories that have them.
“First of all, I would like to emphasize that Curling Alberta is committed to running all events on our schedule, provided that it is safe to do so,” says Executive Director, Jill Richard. “We’re staying optimistic that our competitive season will be a go, and that our current barriers to competing will loosen as our province continues to evolve its relaunch strategy.”
