The Curling Alberta’s U21 Mixed Doubles Provincial Championship currently scheduled for August 27-30 will be postponed to October 22-25, 2020 at the Leduc Curling Club. The primary reason for this second postponement is due to the current guidance related to competitions and travel guidance published by Alberta Health, in conjunction with Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation (SPAR) Branch. Unfortunately, the relaunch guidance for phase 2 states that “activities should be restricted to local opportunities. Participants should not seek sport, physical activity and recreational opportunities in other regions”.
Although changes to the roster are not encouraged, Curling Alberta recognizes that not all curlers may be available on the new dates. In consideration of this, the substitution and replacement policy will be relaxed. Please click here for details.
If your team needs or chooses to withdraw, please email [email protected] and state your team name and the event you are withdrawing from. Withdrawals must be received in writing and be acknowledged by a staff member to be valid. If you withdraw prior to the date stated here, you will receive a full refund. The new withdrawal deadline for this event will be September 30th, 2020 at noon. Please note that this will be the final postponement of this event; it will be cancelled outright if the event is not feasible on October 22-25 for any reason.
