Curling Alberta and the Alberta Junior Curling Tour (AJCT) have made an amendment to an Alberta Junior Team Ranking System (AJTRS) rule pertaining to U20 teams with overage players. Acknowledging the unique nature of the 2021-22 curling season, the following amendment was made to age eligibility for AJTRS points:
“Any team registered for the World Junior Qualification event may compete as a team in men’s or women’s events for the 2021-22 season and accumulate Alberta Junior Team Ranking System (AJTRS) points in the U20 category, as long as 3 out of the 4 curlers listed on the U20 AJTRS points list are on the ice at all times. These points will be earned as the U20 team listed on the AJTRS.”
