Curling Alberta Announces Canada Winter Games Trials Process

The process to name Team Alberta at the 2023 Canada Winter Games (CWG) has been finalized. Curling Alberta will send one U18 Boy’s team, one U18 Girl’s team, and one U20 Mixed Doubles team to represent Alberta at the Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on February 18-March 5, 2023.

The Canada Winter Games is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for athletes to participate in one of the largest multi-sport events in the world. Teams will travel across our country as part of Team Alberta and have the opportunity to make friends from many sports and provinces.

Update (Dec 16, 2021): The Canada Games Council (CGC) has announced that all individuals participating in the 2022 Canada Summer Games and 2023 Canada Winter Games must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This policy applies to all attendees including athletes, coaches, managers, technical officials, participant assistants, venue pass holders, mission staff, VIPs, and media. A negative COVID-19 test will not be accepted as a substitute for vaccines. The CGC and Host Society staff will made accommodations for unvaccinated individuals who have received a medical or religious exemption.

Spectators will be subject to the public health requirements of the host communities and venues at the time of the Games.
