Curling Alberta is pleased to release the details of the 2020-2021 Excel Points Race, which is the official ranking system for Alberta teams in various competitive categories. Overall, we were very pleased with the way that the Excel Points Race was received in it’s inaugural season, but at the same time we learned some things that will help us to make it even better moving forward.
“We received some excellent feedback last season, and have made a concerted effort to incorporate that feedback into our rules for the 2020-2021 Excel Points Race,” said Curling Alberta’s Executive Director, Jill Richard. “Our overarching goal is to ensure that we have an equitable ranking system that will provide a valid and objective measure of teams’ merit, and we believe that we have accomplished just that.”
