Curling Alberta Announces Vaccination Policy

Effective as per the timelines detailed below, Curling Alberta will make COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory to participate in Curling Alberta events including its competitions, camps, clinics, and meetings.

This policy will be in effect for all athletes, coaches, officials, staff, contractors, volunteers, media, and fans 12 years of age and older. All Curling Alberta coaches, instructors, and consultants will be required to be fully vaccinated and wear masks when working with youth.

Timelines:

  • September 22nd, 2021 – Individuals must provide proof of at least one dose of vaccine by this date in order to attend or participate in Curling Alberta events.
  • November 10th, 2021 – Individuals must be fully vaccinated, defined by a period of at least 14 days having passed since receiving their second dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine series, and provide a proof of full vaccination*.

*As per current Alberta Health instructions, a minimum of 28 days must elapse between first and second dose.
