Alberta has a proud curling history, but our past accomplishments will not guarantee our future success. This simple reality is the impetus behind Curling Alberta’s Excel Program, which exists to foster our continued success for many years to come.
Mission: to ensure that Alberta remains at the top of the curling world by systematically developing the next generation of athletes and coaches.
In line with this Mission, we pursue the following Strategic Goals:
- To help Alberta’s top U25, U20, and U18 teams achieve podium performances both nationally and internationally.
- To help Excel Program curlers advance to the elite level of the sport in men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles.
- To develop the expertise of all Excel Program coaches, and more generally all certified coaches in our province.
