High Performance Program – Applications Now Open
Curling Alberta has enhanced its High Performance Program for the upcoming season, with a renewed focus on supporting U20 and U25 teams through our network of High Performance Regional Training Centres.
This program is designed to elevate performance at the national level while providing Alberta teams with the tools, structure, and support needed to progress into Curling Canada’s National Team and NextGen programs.
Program Benefits
Teams selected for the program will have access to:
- Weekly tactical and technical training led by experienced High Performance coaches
- New! Off-season sport science and strength-based training programs
- Coach mentorship and professional development opportunities
- Access to Regional Training CentresÂ
- Competition support funding to enhance performance opportunities

Where are our High Performance Regional Centres?
Curling Alberta operates two High Performance Regional Training Centres:
- Okotoks Curling Club – Okotoks, AB
- Saville Community Sports Centre – Edmonton, AB
These centres serve as hubs for high-performance development across the province. They host all High Performance Team Program sessions and are also the primary locations for our Youth Development Camps, with four to six camps scheduled throughout the 2026–27 curling season.
How can I be a part of the Curling Alberta High Performance Program?
Application Details
Applications for the 2026–27 High Performance season open on Friday, May 8 and close on Monday, May 25.
Applications are open to all teams competing in U20 and/or U25 events.
Successful teams will be notified during the week of May 25–29 and will be expected to participate in the first Sport Science Webinar during the week of June 1–5.
Teams that are not selected are encouraged to continue their development by attending one of our Youth Development Camps at a High Performance Regional Training Centre.
Youth Development Camps
This season, Curling Alberta will host four to six Youth Development Camps designed for athletes in the Learn to Compete stage.
Led by Curling Alberta’s High Performance Coaches, these one-day camps provide:
- Expert technical and tactical instruction for athletes
- Valuable mentorship opportunities for coaches
These camps are open to all U15–U20 curlers looking to develop their skills and gain exposure to high-performance training environments.
- Cost: $150 per athlete
- Coach Access: Coaches are encouraged to attend at no cost alongside their teams
