Curling Alberta is recruiting members to a new Youth Advisory Panel. As a one-year pilot, this is a new initiative that will connect the voices of young people from across Alberta with the organization’s work and catalyze support for its activities. Members of the panel can expect to meet virtually at least three times during the curling season and will also participate in Curling Alberta’s Annual General Meeting. Outside of scheduled meetings, group shall be self-directed to meet and progress the efforts of the panel as they see fit.
We are looking for about 10 curlers eligible for U25 and younger who are:
- Passionate about curling
- Interested in multiple aspects of the sport (e.g.- growing participation at the grassroots level, performance stream athlete development, coaching, officiating, etc.)
- Creative thinkers
- Comfortable collaborating with others and working on a team
- Interested in developing their own leadership skills
Because Curling Alberta believes that diversity drives innovation, we hope to attract youth to this opportunity who reflect the diversity of our population.
