University of Calgary – Dinos Curling

The Dinos Curling program began in the fall of 2022 with the goal of supporting young curlers in Central Alberta develop their skills and achieve success on the ice. In our first season our men’s team won a silver medal at the Canada West Championship and represented The University of Calgary at the U Sport Nationals. Our program runs out of the Glencoe Club in Calgary, known for having some of the best ice conditions in the country.

The program currently has one Men’s team and one Women’s team. We have an excellent coaching staff with lots of Olympic experience. Men’s head coach Laine Peters, Women’s head coach Heather Rogers, assistant coaches Tyson Toews and Derek Bowyer and technical coaches Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant. Tryout dates for next year’s team will be held early 2024. Please reach out to Jocelyn Peterman at [email protected] for any questions.
