2023 Arctic Winter Games Vaccination Policy Released

The Arctic Winter Games International Committee (AWGIC) has announced that all accredited individuals must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to participate in in the 2023 Arctic Winter Games. This policy applies to all accredited individuals including athletes, coaches, managers, technical officials, mission staff, special guests, cultural participants, and media. Host Society staff and volunteers must also be fully vaccinated under separate organizational policies.

The AWGIC and Host Society staff will made accommodations for individuals who are either ineligible to recieve a COVID-19 vaccine or have received an exemption on medical or protected grounds.

Spectators and other non-accredited individuals will be subject to the public health requirements of the host communities and venues at the time of the Games.

The 2023 Arctic Winter Games will be held on January 29-February 4, 2023 in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
