Town of Hinton and Hinton Curling Club Set to Host 2024 Men’s Provincial Championship
The Town of Hinton and the Hinton Curling Club will host the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup, presented by Best Western, February 6 -11, 2024, at the Bill Thomson Arena.
“On behalf of Council, we are absolutely delighted to have the 2024 Alberta Boston Pizza Cup held in Hinton. We are honoured to have the Hinton Curling Club host this event at the Bill Thomson Arena. An event such as this, is a great opportunity for visitors, fans, and athletes to enjoy what Hinton has to offer, both on and off the ice. Our gratitude goes to Curling Alberta and all the volunteers who will contribute to making this event a reality,” expresses Albert Ostashek, Deputy Mayor for the Town of Hinton. “We are eagerly anticipating the presence of Alberta’s foremost curling talent and their fans, ensuring an extraordinary event.”
Hinton is looking forward to welcoming Alberta’s elite men’s teams and their fans to its beautiful mountain community. “As a region renowned for natural beauty, opportunities for once-in-a-lifetime adventures, and friendly people, Hinton is the perfect place to host this prestigious championship event. I invite athletes, their families, and their fans to explore all that Hinton has to offer when they visit in 2024.” said Duane Wright, Hinton Curling Club President.
“It is a privilege to not only celebrate the best of the best men’s curling teams in Alberta, but to showcase our local business community, vibrant arts scene, and passion for the sport,” said Sherry French, Hinton Curling Club Executive member. “We can’t wait to provide fans and athletes with a gold standard curling and entertainment experience.”
