Calgary curling fans have waited nearly three decades to watch the world’s most famous national women’s curling championship live and in person in their hometown.
And with the opening draw for the 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts less than five months away, it’s clear that those fans will be heading to the WinSport Event Centre in droves as ticket sales have been strong, particularly for the closing weekend.
But on Wednesday, there will be even more ways for fans to watch their favourite women’s curling teams as preliminary round single-draw tickets will go on sale for the Canadian women’s curling championship, which will run Feb. 16-25.
While many of the matchups won’t be known until the conclusion of provincial and territorial championships in the new year, four teams — reigning champions Team Canada’s Team Kerri Einarson, two pre-qualified (based on 2022-23 Canadian Team Ranking System standings) squads Team Rachel Homan of Ottawa and Team Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg, and the eventual Alberta champions — all have their first eight game times locked in the schedule,
That means fans will be able to get some great seats to those games and be ready to cheer on some of their favourite players as they pursue a Canadian women’s curling championship.
Among the preliminary-round matchups will be a Sunday afternoon (Feb. 18) showdown between Team Canada and the host Alberta team — a great way to celebrate the Family Day long weekend!
Another big game to look forward to will be a battle of longtime rivals — Team Homan against Team Jones in the Tuesday (Feb. 20) evening draw.
Preliminary-round single-draw ticket prices range from $20.24 to $35, depending on the draw and seat selection. Youth tickets are just $5 for all preliminary-round draws. With the opening weekend of the Scotties scheduled for Family Day, Curling Canada is committed to providing affordable options so the entire family can enjoy this world-class event. Other ticket packages are still available, including:
- Full Event Package ($408-$444): A single ticket to every draw of the 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
- Championship Weekend Package ($198-$228): A single ticket to every draw from Friday, Feb. 22, to Sunday, Feb. 24.
- Opening Weekend Package ($108-$132): A single ticket to all draws from Friday, Feb. 15, to Sunday, Feb. 17.
- Weekday Package ($60-$69): A single ticket to all three draws on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
All tickets are subject to standard facility and ticket service fees.

Single-draw playoff tickets will go on sale on Thursday, Nov. 9.
