Get ready, Alberta — the province’s premier curling event is back for a second season! From January 11–17, 2027, Drayton Valley’s Nelson Bros Arena will host the RME Alberta Summit of Champions, bringing together the province’s top 12 men’s and top 12 women’s teams for a week of high-stakes competition and community celebration.
Building on the success of 2026’s inaugural combined championship, this marks only the second time in Alberta curling history that the men’s and women’s provincial championships have shared a spectator arena setting. Winners will earn the right to represent Alberta at the 2027 Montana’s Brier and 2027 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
Presented by Sentinel Storage and Best Western, and hosted in partnership with the Drayton Valley Curling Club, this championship promises unforgettable moments on the ice — and a major boost for the local community.
