ABSSCM Waiver Clarification

Waiver Template Clarification

In May 2026, Curling Alberta updated its waiver templates to include information about the Alberta Safe Sport Complaint Mechanism (ABSSCM). These templates are provided as a member service resource and are available through Curling I/O for clubs that wish to use them.

To clarify, clubs are not required to use Curling Alberta’s waiver templates. Clubs may choose the waiver and registration processes that best meet their legal, operational, and risk management needs. The updated templates are simply one of many resources available to support affiliated clubs.

If you have questions about the ABSSCM, waiver requirements, or other club resources, please contact the Curling Alberta team. We’re here to help.
