Event Spotlight: Alberta Curling Series – Saville Shootout

September 10, 2021

The next stop on the Alberta Curling Tour is the Saville Shootout. This will be the 15th year that the Saville Community Sports Centre features a women’s tour event in September, and of course, this will be its first time on the Alberta Curling Tour! Typically known for its high-tier competitions, this year is no different. This year’s event features 25 women’s teams seeded into five pools of five teams. Talented teams include top seeds such as Team Einarson, Team Homan, Team Rocque, and Team Walker. The event also features both of the Alberta Curling Tour’s first finalists in Team C. Brown and Team Bertsch looking to continue their recent success. Finally, this is the first event that features international flavour, drawing teams from Korea (Team Kim), and Germany (Team Jentsch).  Safe to say, there are many Excel Points up for grabs!

Draw times are 10 am and 5 pm daily, beginning today with round robin action completing Sunday at 10 am. Playoffs or tiebreakers will begin on Sunday afternoon, with the championship final concluding this event at 4 pm on Monday.

As this is another event brought to you by the Alberta Curling Series, live streaming will continue every draw, so even if you cannot be in attendance, you can watch every second of the action, right HERE!
